两首都来自专辑 In Rainbows... 这张算是'收音机头' 的最新专辑吧(其实也不新了...) 很难想像收音机头也会取这么有诗意和乐观的专辑名, 呵呵~~
在这样一个踌躇满志, 郁郁寡欢, 时风时雨, 走走停停, 又有着强迫症所带出的对未来强烈的憧憬, (头重重, 胃又不舒服)的季节... 这样的音乐, 这样的音乐录影带算是对心灵(及肉体)上的一点慰藉...
也算是送给我们当中的某些人, 纪念那某一段颓废又难忘的时光... 那时对音乐的渴望, 对生活的种种猜测, 想法, 那种处于未知之中又有盼望的年少轻狂...

我知道... 稍微敏感一点的人都会对这录音带感到不舒服... 右边的取景不知是在越南还是在中国... 我第一次去鞋厂的感受, 跟第一次看到这个MTV的感受竟是如此的相似... 这始终是一个事实, 我庆幸有人在关注... 有人说RADIOHEAD就是太博爱, 有些事情太过想当然, 但是任何大变革之前总是有这样的人出现...
发展中国家所付出的代价... 慢慢就会看到... 人口的过快增长(尤其在中国, 这点我实在很有意见!!)... 教育的不普遍, 人口素质普遍不高... 自然资源的过度开发... 环境遭受的破坏... 这一切为了什么? 代价是在为自己所得到的而付出? 还是在为发达国家铺路? 当你们训斥中国的空气不清新, 水质受污染的时候, 有否想过我们为什么需要付出这样的代价? 想过为何中国被称为"世界工厂"? 而中国人是否审视过自己? 是否就此甘心于代价的付出?
需要一个来自发达国家的乐队用MTV来指出这一点, 更耐人寻味....好的MTV就该这样...
I know... it only takes a little bit of sensitivity to realize that this music video is making you uncomfortable... the story on the right, I am not sure if it happens in China or Vietnam... What I felt when I first visited a shoe factory, is unbelievably similar to the feeling when I first saw this music video... after all this IS a fact (whether we like to face it or not) and I am glad there are people out there paying attention... some said Radiohead is a bit too caritative and they take things for granted... but before any big changes take place, there are always people like this appear...
The prices developing countries are paying... slowly... will be seen... the rapid growth in population (I am really having an opinion on Chinese population!)... the inadequacy in providing eduction to all... over exploiture in all natural resources... enviornmental pollution... and what are all these for? for what we are getting? or paving the way for developed countries?
So, when you are accusing the air in China is not fresh, the water in China is not clear, have you ever thought that for what we are paying all these prices? Have you ever thought why China is being called "World Factory"? And us, have we ever censored ourselves? Do we feel nothing about the prices we are paying?
And to be pointed out in a MTV by a band from a developed country, it really provokes thoughts... I think that's what a good music video is for...

Phoebe said something that is so classic in FRIENDS:- I am not something for you to kill time until your someone better comes along, boyfriends & girlfriends may come and go, but this (meaning FRIENDS) is for ever...
很遗憾... 我们当中的很多人没能有这样的思想高度... 很经常就是把朋友当成是kill time的对象, 等到哪天有男/女朋友了, 就完全忘记了身边的朋友(特别是女孩子更容易只围着男朋友的地球转...) of course it's not any of my place to judge anyone, who is to say what's more important? I just promised myself that I will never turn into one of those girls one day... but even if I am strong enough to do so, who am I to be true & reliable o when all of my girlfriends are all so ngaged in their own world with their boyfriends & husbands??
Carol King写过很多很经典的歌, 而此时此刻, 在失去的这个时候, 我首先想起的却是这样一首, 多有意境, 多有盼望和力量的一首歌...
放在这里不是为了那so-called irony (哈哈, 可能多少有点...), 但最主要的是提醒自己, 让自己庆幸, 其实在失去的同时, 我还有这样的朋友... 真难得... I may not have a lot of friends, but once I have them, I keep them close to me... 朋友是一面镜子... I'd like to think that... ... and through the reflection, we'll see ourselves... 难怪古人说"人以类聚, 物以群分"... 或"话不投机半句多, 酒逢知己千杯少"... ... 等等... 等等...
